Salt Lake City, Ep. 6

October 16, 2018 — In our annual drop-in to wondrous Salt Lake City, Literary Death Match once again teamed with the brilliant Utah Humanities Book Festival for a night of words, wit and weird that saw Ryan Jones defeat Brian Laidlaw in a down-to-the-wire Arithme-Lit finale, winning Jones the Salt Lake City, Ep. 6 crown, and literary immortality to go with it.

Tampa, Ep. 1

March 10, 2018 — Literary Death Match's AWP Spectacular at the Vaughn Center — co-hosted by University of Tampa MFA, and co-presented by Burrow Press and Painted Bride Quarterly  — was a revelation that saw Kazim Ali strive to victory in a nip-and-tuck Literary Spelling Bee III finale to win Ali the LDM Tampe, Ep. 1 crown and literary immortality to go with it.

September 16, 2017 — In one of our favorite annual traditions, Literary Death Match returned to the Utah Humanities Book Festival for a brilliant night of literary and comedic zing that finished with Abraham Smith outdueling Franny Choi in a American Psycho or American President? finale to win his record 5th LDM medal, and literary immortality to go with it.

Nashville, Ep. 1

October 11, 2014 — In what was one of the greatest nights of our 2014, we teamed with the Southern Festival of Books and Third Man Records for a wild night of literary wizardry, knee-slapping judgment that finished with Abraham Smith winning out in sudden death over Adrian Matejka in a music-skewed battle of Literary Pictionary to win Smith the LDM Nashville, Ep. 1 crown.

Seattle, Ep. 3

February 28, 2014 — In a fateful return to the Emerald City, Literary Death Match teamed with Painted Bride Quarterly at AWP for a spectacular at Lucid Seattle. The night ended when Abraham Smith outlasted Kiki Petrosino in a Lone Star Lit finale in sudden death overtime to snare Smith the LDM Seattle, Ep. 3 title.

NYC, Ep. 16

Just about everyone who attended Literary Death Match NYC, Ep. 16 stood together afterward in the little restaurant-room at the front of the Bowery Poetry Club and agreed: Episode 16 was a
