February 14, 2020 — In our first event of the new decade, Literary Death Match once again teamed with the wonders at the San Miguel Writers' Conference for a magical afternoon in Mexico that saw Jim Ruland outduel co-finalist Gaia Schilke in a down-to-the-wire game of LDM Cabinet of Non-Wonders, willing Ruland the LDM San Miguel, Ep. 2 crown, and literary immortality to go with it.

August 9, 2012 — Before a jam-packed and wily house at Busby's East, a gem-filled and hilarious night celebrating the launch of Simon Rich's new novel took a sharp turn towards the moving, and ended with Sarah Thyre's proxy Isaac outdueling Oriana Small (a.k.a. Ashley Blue, author of Girlvert) in an Olympic-themed Literary Triathlon that won Thyre the LDM LA, Ep. 12 crown.

San Diego, Ep. 3

October 18, 2011 — While snowflake-lazy rain sifted down from the gunmetal sky onto the Space 4 Art stage, it was Heather Fowler who found her literary-hoops range first, in an Anonymous film-themed finale, as she out-shot Jincy Willet by a final score of 3 to 2.5 to win the Literary Death Match crown, presented by the genius/madmen of So Say We All

LDM100: San Diego

October 12, 2010 — An electric night in America's Finest City — at the peerlessly named El Take It Easy — finished fantastically with Big Lonesome author Jim Ruland outdrawing short storyteller specialist Jess Jollett 2-0 to claim San Diego's second-ever LDM crown.
