In our grand debut in Ogden, Utah, Literary Death Match will team with the brilliant Utah Humanities Book Festival for a night of literature, comedy, and absurdity that will bring everyone to their feet. Don't miss this very special night. Click here to see the lineup!

What is Literary Death Match? Part literary event, part comedy show, part game show, Literary Death Match brings together four of today’s finest writers to compete in an edge-of-your-seat read-off critiqued by three celebrity judges, and concluded by a slapstick showdown to decide the ultimate champion.

Judges: 
Literary Merit: Kara van de Graaf, poet, teacher, and editor living in Salt Lake City

Performance: Amir Jackson, poet, and founder of Nurture The Creative Mind

Intangibles: Molly Gaudry, founder of Lit Pub and the author of We Take Me Apart, a finalist for the Asian American Literary Award for Poetry and shortlisted for the PEN/Osterweil Award

Readers: 
Round 1: 
* David Lindes, writer, singer-songwriter, and producer
* Jake Alvey, poet, musician, voice actor

Round 2: 
* Jan Bottiglieri, author of Everything Seems Significant​: The Blade Runner Poems
