Saturday, November 5, 2016 at 3:02AM November 5, 2016 — For our annual Austin spectacular, Literary Death Match returned to Texas as part of the kick-off to Lit Crawl Austin at The North Door, and after many literary and comedic fireworks the night ended with Amy Gentry taking down Jason Neulander in a battle of American Psycho or Trump? to win Gentry the LDM Austin, Ep. 11 crown, and literary immortality to go with it.
Friday, November 4, 2016 at 3:07AM November 4, 2016 — With our election anxiety at an all-time high, Literary Death Match headed to the sanity of Canada for our return to Vancouver — and more specifically the Fox Cabaret. The Sad Mag-presented event finished with Lucia Misch outdueling Jayson McDonald in a back-and-forth battle of Lone Star Lit, before Misch scored the final answer, winning her the LDM Vancouver, Ep. 3 crown and literary immortality to go with it.
Sunday, October 16, 2016 at 1:29AM October 16, 2016 — Literary Death Match returned to London for Southbank Centre's brilliant London Literature Festival, and living up the the festival's theme — Living in Future Times — LDM delivered a showcase of some of the best for years to come, ending with Luisa Omielan outdueling Paula Varjack in a Cyrillic Off that won her the LDM London, Ep. 60 crown, and literary immortality to go with it.
Friday, October 14, 2016 at 11:42PM October 14, 2016 — Literary Death Match returned to Vermont — once again teaming with the Brattleboro Literary Festival for the 5th year in a row — in a brilliant affair that saw Porochista Khakpour topple Mia Alvar in a hard-fought Quiz of Death that won Khakpour the LDM Brattleboro, Ep. 5 crown, and literary immortality to go with it.
Thursday, October 13, 2016 at 2:25AM To celebrate Literary Death Match's 10-Year Anniversary, we returned to the glory of Portland, Maine, and more specifically: Space Gallery for an all-out war of words and wit that ended with Sarah Braunstein outdueling Cate Marvin in a tense game of Lone Star Lit II, winning Braunstein the LDM Portland, Ep. 6 crown and literary immortality to go with it.
Wednesday, October 12, 2016 at 3:52AM October 12, 2016 — Literary Death Match returned to Calgary for our annual showcase at Wordfest (at the sold-out Arts Commons' Big Secret Theatre) where Aaron Paquette toppled C.C. Humphreys in sudden-death overtime in a battle of Lone Star Lit II, to win Paquette the LDM Calgary, Ep. 4 crown, and literary immortality to go with it.
Tuesday, October 11, 2016 at 1:54PM October 11, 2016 — After too many moons away, Literary Death Match returned to the glories of Largo at the Coronet for a whizbang affair that finished with Karen Harryman outdueling Meliza Bañales in a no-holds barred Quiz of Death that won Harryman the LDM LA, Ep. 46 crown, and literary immortality to go with it.
Thursday, October 6, 2016 at 10:27AM In our return to Oakland, Literary Death Match teamed with the masterminds at ALTA (The American Literary Translators Association) for an all-out night of brilliant lit that and comedy that finished with Edward Gauvin toppling Katherine Silver in a down-to-the-wire game of Literary Spelling Bee III, winning Gauvin the LDM Oakland, Ep. 2 and literary immortality to go with it.
Tuesday, October 4, 2016 at 1:09PM To celebrate all that is brilliant, Literary Death Match headed back to The State Room, as we once again teamed with the Utah Humanities Book Festival for a magical night that saw Good Ghost Bill topple RJ Walker in a Quiz of Death-turned-Literary Spelling Bee finale to win Good Ghost Bill (Bill Moran) the LDM Salt Lake City, Ep. 4 crown and literary immortality to go with it.
