Tuesday, November 13, 2012 at 3:29PM November 13, 2012 — It was all about academic splendor and surprise as Literary Death Match touched down at Quinnipiac University in Hamden, Connecticut for the first time ever. This piercing event, sponsored by Montage literary magazine, ended when Benjamin Goodheart just barely beat out Samantha Austin in an Author Spelling Bee, winning Goodheart the title of LDM champion of Quinnipiac.
Thursday, November 8, 2012 at 5:52AM November 8, 2012 — Before a joyful, tittering crowd, Literary Death Match made its masterful Contemporary Jewish Museum debut, as a stunning lit-comedic night ended with a Jewish Author Jumble that saw Suzanne Kleid outduel co-finalist Zarina Zabrisky by only seconds to win Kleid the LDM SF, Ep. 49 crown.

Friday, October 26, 2012 at 8:44PM October 27, 2012 — On a winter-cool Saturday afternoon, Literary Death Match returned to the Texas Book Festival (and Austin's gorgeous Paramount Theatre) for a knockout masterpiece that saw the amazing Kambri Crews outduel the beloved Bob Shea in a Literary Spelling Bee by a final score of 13-5, winning her the LDM Austin, Ep. 5 crown.
Thursday, October 25, 2012 at 11:36AM October 25, 2012 — On a lit-rich night filled with wonder and oddball surprise, Literary Death Match's return to Korjaamo Culture Factory finished in high-octane fashion as Helsingin Sanomat Literature Prize-nominee Eeva Rohas out-swished Karo Hämäläinen 5-3 in a wild Book Burning Basketball finale that won Rohas the LDM Helsinki's second-ever crown.

Wednesday, October 17, 2012 at 1:39AM October 17, 2012 — On a cool autumn night in brilliant Philadelphia, Literary Death Match returned to World Cafe Live to celebrate our 250th-ever show with Painted Bride Quarterly. The night ended with Dan Wilbur (author of How Not to Read) outdueling General Idea co-curator Kim Gek Lin Short in an air-tight game of Literary Card Sharks that ended with him being crowned as LDM champ.
Tuesday, October 16, 2012 at 1:50AM October 16, 2012 — On a chilly, mid-autumn night in Rhode Island's capital city, Literary Death Match made its talent-packed Providence debut (our 46th city!) at the Empire Black Box before a brilliant crowd that saw poet Mairéad Byrne outduel Poets Out Loud prize winner Darcie Dennigan in a Literary Spelling Bee by a final score of 24-16, winning Byrne the LDM Providence crown.
Monday, October 15, 2012 at 1:50AM October 15, 2012 — In a lit-brilliant debut at One Longfellow Square in Portland (Literary Death Match's 45th city!), it was Lily King who outdueled poet Gibson Fay-LeBlanc in a wild game of Author Word Jumble that saw King win by a narrow margin of 1.2 seconds to win her the LDM Portland (ME), Ep. 1 crown.
