Brooklyn, Ep. 13

September 12, 2018 — In an exhilarating night of lit, wit and wild, Literary Death Match returned to Littlefield for a Brooklyn Book Festival fun-stravaganza that saw Jenn Baker outduel Alexis Stodghill in a down-to-the-wire battle of Arithme-Lit to win Baker the LDM Brooklyn, Ep. 13 crown, and literary immortality to go with it. 

Here's the full lineup from the night: 

Literary Merit: Tayari Jones, New York Times best-selling author of An American Marriage and Silver Sparrow
Performance: Natalie Walker
, writer (for Vulture and more) and actor (her Twitter auditions are plain brilliant)
Intangibles: Christine Nangle, exec producer/head writer of The Break with Michelle Wolf on Netflix, and former EP/HW for The President Show
Super-Intangibles: Jordan Klepper, former host of The Opposition, Daily Show correspondent, and his new show "Klepper” coming to Comedy Central in 2019

Round 1: 
* Alexis Stodghill
, writer and digital producer for "AM JOY" on @MSNBC
* Caroline Moss & Michelle Markowitz, co-authors of Hey Ladies!; Caroline: producer at BuzzFeed, and her forthcoming series for young girls will be out March 2019 with Quarto; Michelle: director on Out of Tune, and writer/director of the upcoming pilot "Sidepiece" for Virgin Produced

Round 2:
* Jenn Baker, writer, editor of Everyday People, host of the Minorities in Publishing podcast, and a contributing editor to Electric Literature
* Tom O’Donnell, author of the Hamstersaurus Rex books who has written for the New Yorker, McSweeney’s, and TV shows TripTank and Billy on the Street
