September 7, 2022 — After too many moons away, Literary Death Match made its gleeful return to San Francisco (and more specifically, Valencia Room). The brilliant night finished with Kate Folk narrowly topping her co-finalist Vanessa Hua in an Original or Adapted? finale that went down to the wire, winning Folk the LDM SF, Ep. 70 crown, and literary immortality to go with it. 

Here's the full lineup from the night: 

JUDGES: 

Literary Merit: Matthew Clark Davison, author of Doubting Thomas (a Foreword Indies Finalist), and creator/teacher at The Lab :: Writing Classes with MCD

Performance: Dominic Lim, musician, actor (who's performed everywhere from Off-Broadway to Carnegie Hall), and author of the debut novel, All the Right Notes (forthcoming from Hachette in June 2023)

Intangibles: Kala Keller, stand-up comedian currently raising a pack of feral children and outrunning existential dread
