San Miguel, Ep. 1

February 15, 2019 — In our first-ever event South of the Border, Literary Death Match teamed with the wonders at the San Miguel Writers' Conference for a magical event that saw Victoria Zackheim topple Kent Evans in a down-to-the-wire Arithme-Lit finale, winning Zackheim the LDM San Miguel, Ep. 1 crown, and literary immortality to go with it.

London, Ep. 57

June 4, 2016 — To celebrate LDM's summer in London we returned to the glorious Stoke Newington Literary Festival for a West Hackney event at St. Paul's Church (where else?) for a gleeful night that ended with Rebecca Mackenzie outlasting co-finalist Ka Bradley in a LDM 20 Questions finale to win Mackenzie the LDM London, Ep. 57 crown, and literary immortality to go with it.

October 6, 2015 — For what was the night of every single audience member's life (we're projecting here), Literary Death Match joined hands with the London Literature Festival for a Southbank Centre showcase that ended with Jami Attenberg outlasting co-finalist Inua Ellams in a wild Author Jumble finale by 14-12 to win her the LDM London, Ep. 53 crown.

September 1, 2015 — In celebrate of the 400th Literary Death Match in world history, we hurtled towards London's Century Club for a whizbang affair of delight, lit and laughs that ended with Catherine Chanter narrowly outdueling Andy Miller in a Literary Triathlon to win Chanter the LDM London, Ep. 52 (and LDM400) crown.

June 6, 2015 — On a perfect summer night in Jolly Ol', Literary Death Match partnered with Picador Books to present a spectacular at the Stoke Newington Literary Festival which saw Will Smith out-duel co-finalist Lissa Evans in a Literary Play Your Cards Right finale by a 2-1 score to win Smith the LDM London, Ep. 51 crown.

May 29, 2015 — To celebrate our 50th-ever LDM in London we headed to the gorgeous, rarely-seen chapel at King's College London for our Australia & NZ Festival of Literature & Arts spectacular that ended in a blaze of brilliance as Selina Tusitala Marsh narrowly toppled Omar Musa in an Author Jumble to win Marsh the LDM London, Ep. 50 crown.

May 18, 2015 — For our biggest-ever London show, we took over the Spiegeltent at London Wonderground on the South Bank for an electric night — sponsored by Picador — that finished with Nat Luurtsema narrowly outdueling Amber Tamblyn in a sudden-death One Star Wonder finale to win Luurtsema the LDM London, Ep. 49 crown.

May 5, 2015 — To kick off a three-shows-in-one-month London run, we teamed with Quercus Books to bring LDM to the The Ace Hotel in Shoreditch for a night that featured an endless array of literary talent, judging loveliness and a wild finale that culminated with Team Tom Moran outdueling Team Jessica Cornwell in a down-to-the-wire game of Literary Musical Chairs to win Moran the LDM London, Ep. 48 crown.

April 15, 2015 — With a spring in our step, we stumbled head-first into London Book & Screen Week with a book & film themed-show at Foyles on Charing Cross Road that featured, amongst other things: lit brilliance, hijinks, oddity, hilarity and it all ended with an Adapted or Original? finale that saw Ali Catterall outlast Ian Kelly 4-3 to win him the LDM London, Ep. 47 crown.

March 18, 2015 — On the cusp of springtime, LDM teamed with The Borough Press to put a bunny-hop in your wintry step at The Phoenix on Cavendish Square, and what a night it was, as Andrea Bennett outlasted Rosie Garland in a back-and-forth battle of Literarary Spelling Bee II to win LDM by a final score of 30-28.
