May 10, 2011 — On a wildly fantastical night of wit, whimsy, lit and hilarity, Literary Death Match's Wales debut ended after Patrick Jones' team toppled Team Mab Jones by a narrow 3-1 margin in the friendliest game of Muzikal Chairs ever witnessed, winning P. Jones the LDM Cardiff crown.

March 18, 2011 — Literary Death Match's Red Nose Day Spectcular at Concrete — presented by Pan Macmillan — was a joy- and laugh-filled thrill that saw super-poet Martin Figura topple humor brillianteur Miriam Elia 10-6 in a confused-and-somewhat fierce Poet v. Madman face-off that won Figura the Literary Death Match Crown.

Montreal, Ep. 1

March 13, 2011 — In one of the most brilliant city debuts in LDM history (presented by Summer Literary Seminars, and supported by Iambik Audiobooks), the winner — Jon Paul Fiorentino — managed to outlast co-finalist Melissa Bull in an epic social-networking finale that paid homage to Montreal's finest scribes. When it was all finished, Team Fiorentino won the closer-than-the-score-would-indicate finale 29-17.

March 2, 2011 — In what was simply a Hawkeye State classic, LDMs return to Iowa City was a ridiculous triumph that saw Wag's Revue Essays Editor Sandra Allen out-Literary Memory her co-finalist/nemesis Robin Hemley in a hotly-contested finale that ended 5-3, winning Allen the LDM crown.

Twin Cities, Ep. 3

March 1, 2011 — LDMs return to Minneapolis was greeted with sub-zero weather, but that didn't stop the literary die-hards who packed the sold-out Aster Cafe, and witnessed literary history when InDigest rep Brad Liening and his band of merry sitters outlasted Water~Stone Review rep Barrie Jean Borich in a wild session of Muzakal Chairs. The final score was 3 to 1, winning Liening the LDM crown.

February 2, 2011 — Descending on the Nation's Capital for the first time ever, Literary Death Match DC, Ep. 1 at The Black Cat — sponsored by ModCloth, and produced in tandem with 826DC — was a spectacular AWP spectacle of whimsy, wit, wildness and otherwise, as The Written Wardrobe rep David Wanczyk took the crown over Dzanc Books rep Matt Bell in a dashing game of Literary Fashion Mastah by a score of 26 to 24 to take home the LDM crown.
